Real Estate Referrals for Treasure Valley Professionals

How do I refer a client to My Home Connection?

The simplest path is a direct email or phone call to Jerod Lee — JLee@myhomeconnection.com or (208) 214-5595 — with the client's name, a brief description of their situation, and your preferred level of involvement going forward. Jerod responds to professional referrals within two hours during business hours. You can also send your client directly with your name as the referring professional, and we will follow up on the back end to thank you and coordinate the relationship.

Does My Home Connection pay referral fees to attorneys, CPAs, or financial planners?

No. Under RESPA and Idaho real estate law, MHC does not pay referral fees to attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, or other professionals outside of licensed real estate brokerages. The Perfect Professional Connection program is built on reciprocal relationships and shared client outcomes — not transactional compensation. We document referrals carefully and reciprocate within legal and professional boundaries where the working relationship supports it.

What is the response time for a referred client?

MHC commits to a two-hour response window on professional referrals during business hours, and same-day response for referrals received outside business hours. The referring professional receives a confirmation that contact has been made with the client, so you know the hand-off actually happened. This standard is documented and applied uniformly across the team through the Expedition program with Dr. Roger Hall — it is not an aspiration.

Who at My Home Connection will work with my client?

In most cases, Jerod Lee handles initial intake on professional referrals personally and either continues as the lead agent or matches the client to the MHC team member best suited to their situation — Jacob Wood for first-time buyers, Keith Kellum for veterans, or another team member based on the client's circumstances. The referring professional is consulted before any hand-off, and the client always knows who their primary point of contact is from the start.

Will I be kept informed during my client's transaction?

Yes, at whatever level you specify. Some referring professionals want milestone updates only — listing taken, offer accepted, closing scheduled. Others want full visibility, particularly when the real estate piece interacts with an active legal or financial file. We establish the communication protocol at the time of referral and honor it. We never share client information without authorization, and the client controls what is communicated back to you.

What makes My Home Connection different from other Treasure Valley agents?

MHC agents complete the Expedition program with Dr. Roger Hall — a leadership and client psychology development track that no other Treasure Valley brokerage offers. The result is documented service-level standards, a trained approach to high-stress client situations, and consistent communication accountability across the team. For a referring professional, this means the work product reflecting on your judgment operates at a defined standard rather than relying on the individual agent's personal habits.

What areas does My Home Connection serve?

MHC Realty operates throughout the Treasure Valley — Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Star, Kuna, Nampa, Caldwell, and surrounding Ada and Canyon County communities. For referrals in McCall, Valley County, or other Idaho markets outside the immediate Treasure Valley, we can either coordinate with a vetted agent partner in that market or refer directly within REAL Broker LLC's broader Idaho network, depending on the client's specific needs and timeline.

Can My Home Connection handle complex situations like divorce, probate, or estate sales?

Yes. These transaction types require specialized handling — court order compliance, dual-party communication protocols, valuation work that may be reviewed by opposing counsel, and documentation that withstands scrutiny. MHC has experience across all three. For situations where a Comparative Market Analysis is needed for estate or settlement purposes before any transaction is on the table, we can produce one for planning use without obligation to the client or the referring professional.

Can my client request a specific MHC agent?

Absolutely. If a client comes through a referral with a preference — for example, requesting Jacob Wood for a first-time purchase, or Keith Kellum for a veteran transaction — we honor that. If the referring professional has worked with a specific MHC agent before and prefers that continuity, we maintain it. The client's comfort with their agent is a precondition for the rest of the work going well, and we treat it that way.

Can MHC produce a Comparative Market Analysis for estate planning or divorce settlement purposes?

Yes. A CMA prepared for planning purposes is a different document than one prepared for a pre-listing presentation — it should be defensible if reviewed by opposing counsel, executor, or co-trustee. MHC produces these for referring professionals at no cost when an established or developing relationship is in place, and we treat the document as if it will be scrutinized, because in this context it often is. The client is not solicited for a transaction during this process.

What if my referred client decides not to buy or sell after the consultation?

That is a complete outcome, not a failed one. Some clients need to understand the market, the timing, and their realistic position before deciding. MHC does not pressure consultations toward transactions, and we communicate honestly when waiting is the right answer. The referring professional is not exposed to a soft-sell on their client. The relationship and the trust between us matter more than any single transaction in either direction.

What if my client is already working with another real estate agent?

If your client has signed a Buyer Representation Agreement or a Listing Agreement with another agent, we respect that relationship and step back. We do not solicit clients who are already represented. If your client is in an early conversation with another agent but has not yet signed an agreement, the decision is theirs — and we are happy to provide a second perspective if the client specifically requests one.

How does the $500 inspection and appraisal promotion work for my referred client?

For buyers: up to $500 from the MHC agent toward inspection + up to $500 from a participating lender toward appraisal — both at closing. For sellers: up to $500 from the MHC listing agent toward a pre-listing inspection + up to $500 from a participating lender toward the appraisal on the seller's future purchase loan — both at close. Subject to terms, lender participation, and applicable regulations. Not a guarantee of specific savings.

Is buyer representation free for my client?

No, and any agent or program claiming otherwise is operating under outdated post-NAR-settlement language. Buyer agent compensation is negotiated and outlined in the Buyer Representation Agreement. In many transactions, the seller agrees to cover the buyer agent's commission, but this is a term of the specific deal — not a guarantee. MHC walks every referred client through the actual structure during the initial consultation so there are no surprises later.

How do I start a deeper conversation about The Perfect Professional Connection program?

To discuss referring a client or to learn more about The Perfect Professional Connection, contact Jerod Lee directly — JLee@myhomeconnection.com or (208) 214-5595. The program is a small, deliberate network of Treasure Valley professionals, not a high-volume referral pipeline. Initial conversations are typically thirty minutes and focused on whether the working styles and professional standards fit before either party invests in the relationship.
